Oat milk has become a staple at your favorite coffee shop and it’s here to stay. Whether you’re a vegan or are straight up lactose intolerant, oat milk is a great alternative that packs a smoother flavor. You may have noticed an uptick in baristas asking if you’d “like to try our new oat milk latte?” and that’s because the milk alternative interacts with coffee better than almond milk. Add it to your drip coffee or get it mixed into your chai and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Oat milk is slightly more expensive than almond milk but remains similar when it comes to looking at the nutrition label:

“When it comes to nutritional value, the difference between oat milk and almond milk isn’t all that significant. Oatly oat milk contains 2 grams of protein and 5 grams of fat, while many almond milk brands contain 1 gram of protein and 2.5 grams of fat.”
